OVERVIEW
We are seeking talented and motivated professionals to join a newly created R&D Center located in Shanghai. As a member of this team, you will develop advanced telecommunications products. You will contribute to the success of this challenge, by providing your expertise in software and people management.

MISSION
Manages a development team dedicated to a project or a competence activity. His team is usually focused on a specific technology domain.
He/she ensures consistency of technical solutions and architectures within his team, He/she is accountable for the QCCD (Quality, Cost, Content, Lead time) of his team to a project (planning, tracking, quality ...).
He/she organizes the activities for his team with the help of one or several experts.
He/she reports to the Development Manager and is accountable to the Release Manager for Project aspects.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Ensuring technical definition and architecture of a dedicated component,technology or competence activity
2.Ensuring technical coordination of the development/qualification group,and generally taking an active part in developments / qualification tests activities
3.Ensuring technical interface with architects (Systems and/or Software) and pre-studies.
4.Providing tasks estimations to the manager
5.Helping the manager in tasks planning, organizing the day to day technical activities.
Proposing actions to maintain and develop a high technical expertise in his group on his specific domain
6.Team Building and Communication: ensures a good communication flow to his team and inside his team. Listens to his team and brings answers to their questions.
7.People Management: sets objectives and assesses performance, career evolution, skill development
8.Applies tools, processes and best practices defined for his competence activity
9.Ensures integration of new comers (including trainees), competence transfer and expertise development within his group
10.Organizes the activity for his team
11.Ensures Quality, Cost, Lead Time and Contents of his deliverables
12.Ensures planning and tracking of his team's tasks and deliverables regarding the project
Is accountable to the Release Manager for all project aspects of his team

The Alcatel Asia Pacific Enterprise Engineering & Development Center will develop the required skills and competencies, and operate according to standards applicable worldwide with special commitments to people management and timely deliveries matching set qualities’ objectives.
It will define, develop and test the solutions for the Asia Pacific market in close relation with central and local product marketing and short term revenues impacts. And it will develop innovations and global product solutions via the partnerships.
The Alcatel Asia Pacific Enterprise Engineering & Development Center will also provide assistance, favoring synergies, to the Asia Pacific level3 technical support activity.
