Software Engineer Speech Dialog Development for Asian Market
======================================================
HBAS´s speech dialog development team in Ulm, Germany, needs support from native speakers for the design, implementation, and testing of customer-specific speech dialogue systems for Asian market.
Your training will take place in Ulm, Germany. The dialog team in Ulm is providing specialised tools, methods, and more than 10 years of experience in developing speech dialog applications for various renowned manufacturers (Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, …).
After the training phase (2-3 months) in Germany you will work at HBAS Shenzhen office and support the dialog team in Ulm in all localization issues, especially in the country and culture specific terms. You’ll be responsible for compiling exception dictionaries for the speech recognition engine, e.g. radio station names or tv station names.
You will bring with you:
• Practical experience of programming and markup languages: C/C++, XML
• Experience with software development processes and testing
• Experience of automotive navigation and telematic systems
• Experience working closely with customers, partners and application developers
• Strong Microsoft Windows skills, including MS Office and Visio
• Knowledge of speech recognition and/or synthesis technology would be a plus as well as experience in the domain of user interface definition and usability testing
We expect you to embody the following characteristics:
• A degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computational linguistics or similar
• Good command of English, both written and spoken
• Willingness to spend several months in Ulm, Germany, for training
• Willingness to travel to Germany regularly for team coordination
