职位描述: In conjunction with our member organisation,ABS Industrial Resources, CBBC is currently looking to recruit candidates for the following positions,which will be based in Shanghai.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the Project Manager at a technical level with the day-to-day activities of the Shanghai presence
Supporting the Project Manager and other parts of the group with Engineering/Metallurgy based information to aid key decision making processes.
Interpreting and communicating customer/supplier technical requirements to other parts of the group.
To research Metal & Alloy producers in China, identifying those that have superior competency in specific core technical capabilities and production methods.
To research producers of tungsten carbide components suitable for precision machining into components for the oil and gas industry.
Making joint visits to suppliers to ascertain production capabilities and the quality of product produced.
Developing links with independent testing facilities in China to aid in the supplier/material vetting process.
Experience:
The successful candidate will be educated to Higher Education, preferably with a degree(at least 2:1) in an Engineering/Metallurgy subject.
The position requires someone who is able to work with little supervision,clear in the organization of their work and is able to work to set objectives and deadlines.
The position requires someone with good grounding in the chemical and mechanical properties of metals and alloys,and a good understanding of their production and refinement methods.
An understanding of the principles of machining engineered components would be advantageous.
Vital to the role is the ability to communicate well in English,Mandarin and/or Cantonese at a business and technical level.
The ability to interpret engineering drawings and other technical specifications is a primary requirement for the role.
The job holders will report administratively to CBBC’s office managers in Shanghai, and functionally will report to and be supported by company’s representative in London
