Hiring Manager:Test Lead
Responsibilities:
Text-To-Speech (TTS) team is responsible for shipping Microsoft very own high quality, multi-lingual TTS engines for all Microsoft speech enabled products. As a Software Design Engineer in Test (SDET), you'll own the testing of one or more feature areas in the product and ensure TTS's code quality and speech quality.
Primary responsibilities include reviewing feature specifications, creating test plans and new test cases to cover most scenarios in feature specifications, developing test tools (in C/C++/C#), manually testing to find product bugs, creating automation test cases to prevent regression bugs in daily build, ensuring that all tests are executed according to the group's test guidelines and code reviewing bug fixes in the product. You will interact closely with other testers, the developers and program managers so good communication and collaboration is essential. You'll likely interact with teams from different product groups that we depend on or utilizes our products, likely in different time zones. A willingness to go above and beyond the expectations set for you is central to your success in this position.

Fluency in C/C++/C# and experience designing and developing tool architecture
Ability to solve complex problems and write automation systems
Ability to author test plans and cases and debug at source level after identifying, investigating, and prioritizing bugs
Demonstrated skills in negotiation and conflict management
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Pluses:
A BA/BS degree in Computer Science
Text-to-Speech domain knowledge
Knowledge of several foreign languages
