Company Background:
Our client is a leading global supplier of fiber optic component and module solutions for core, FTTx and other broadband networks, offers a complete line of both active and passive optical components for every network market segment: FTTH/ Access, Datacom, Storage Area Networks, Metro and Long Haul networks. The company' transceivers are compliant with industry standard MSAs, are available in GBIC, SFF, SFP, XFP and other configurations, and serve a variety of reaches, applications and data-rates from 155MBps to 10GBps.DM networks.
China Situation
The company is China's largest active component manufacturer. It manufactures a broad range of active components including SFP, XFP, and bidirectional transceivers, as well as the company's planar lightwave circuit (PLC) components, many of which are used in FTTP systems. It has got TL 9000 compliance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for passive optical fiber optic product development:
* includes traditional passive components and products;
* state of the art PLC based products.
- Manage optical, electrical, and mechanical engineering functions in addition to being well versed in project management in order to bring new quality products to the marketplace in short time cycles;
- Responsible for day to day continuation engineering support for existing production products that are being produced in high production volumes.
Qualification & Experience:
- Significant R&D experience in the area of passive optical components and modules;
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is a mandatory requirement as the candidate will have daily communications with USA based R&D centers;
- Have strong interpersonal skills, a cooperative style, plus a committed drive to win;
- Must be motivated and enjoy working in an open, rapidly changing team oriented environment;
- Must be hands-on, with a 'can do' attitude, a commitment to excellence with an ability to anticipate change and develop new approaches and creative innovative solutions.
