- Responsibilities:
• Provide the check and balance to assure all products received by the manufacturing facilities meet the specifications
• Establish fabric quality standards for physical specifications, aesthetics, color match, yardage variance, and allowances
• Progress all fabric QA issues – including approval of test reports
• Evaluate quality complaints received from facilities, mills, and testing labs. Determine disposition of complaints
• Compile and evaluate information to assist the Fabric Manager in determining appropriate supplier for required fabric based on negotiated price, quality, capacity, technical qualification, and capability
• Ensure fabric specifications meet business objectives and strategies, target pricing and overall creative direction that has been established by our customers
• Liaise with designers and buyers and to make sure that chosen fabrics meet the needs of our clients in terms of quality, performance and price
• Oversee fabric quality and suitability throughout the production processes from design to completion
Qualifications & Requirements
• Technical Textile & Clothing qualification
• Strong technical knowledge in fabric / Color Analysis & Development / Dyeing /Milling / Quality Control & Washing and Performance Standards
• Experienced with testing and quality control of finished fabric for ladies' suit, casual wear & outerwear
• Able to give technical support and can demonstrate proactive thinking and problem solving ability with factories
• Strong networking and business connections with mills in China
• Highly focused on details and good follow-through
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese
