- Responsibilities and principal accountabilities:
Support the Project Director in the day-to-day implementation of the project;
Liaise between the Project Director and the management team;
Liaise with relevant project stakeholders, especially Chinese government agencies;
Support the Project Director in preparing and conducting various meetings.
Qualifications and skills:
Relevant university degree;
Strong organizational skills;
Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese, incl. ability to act as interpreter;
Office management skills;
Experience in working in an international environment;
Very good IT skills.

The EU-China Managers Exchange and Training Programme, METP, launched in July 2006, is a non-profit four-year intergovernmental co-operation project between the European Commission and the Government of China with the aim to enhance business expertise among Chinese and European managers. The METP is managed by a Chinese Project Director and an international team co-ordinating trainings and seminars with other stakeholders including a prestigious Chinese University, a consortium of leading European business schools and other Chinese and European learning institutions.
Some 400 Chinese and European managers from SMEs and NGOs and from the media and public sector, will be trained at different locations in China and Europe in modern management techniques, in language and intercultural skills.
After classroom training participants will become familiar with the business environment of China and Europe and apply their knowledge acquired in internships in Chinese and European companies. METP graduates will have the possibility to join the dedicated alumni association EUCMA, that allows to develop and cultivate business contacts among European and Chinese business communities.
