Procurement Engineer
1.GENERAL FUNCTION
Handles relations with suppliers (invitations to tender and negotiations) and ensures that suppliers and sub-contractors execute orders according to the company’s quality standards, schedule and image.
2. OBJECTIVES
To ensure that purchases offer optimum value for money.
To ensure that the company’s supply sources are reliable in terms of timescales, quality, safety, quantities, prices and warranties.
3. REPORTING
Reports to the Purchasing Department Manager.

5. DUTIES
Technical duties
Taking part in the initial deal making phase and, if necessary, assisting with pre-invitation and pre-selection before the project design.
Issuing, on the basis of the technical, planning and budget data supplied by the Design and Project Departments, invitations to tender to tender to suppliers and sub-contractors.
Sorting the tenders received and drawing up comparative tender tables.
At the end of the negotiations, proposing choices of suppliers and submitting them for approval by the Design Manager and the Project Manager.
Complying with the purchasing timetable, preventing any delays and, if necessary, proposing solutions.
Finance and administration
Organizing and planning purchases within the general organization of the project defined by the Project Manager.
Writing orders and contracts for suppliers and sub-contractors.
If necessary, following up the order on behalf of the Project Manager (invoicing, deliveries, etc.).
External relations
Conducting commercial negotiations with suppliers to achieve the best price while meeting the defined specifications.
Safety and working conditions
Ensuring that supplies comply with safety standards.
Quality
Applying the procedures defined by the Quality Assurance System (Q.A..S).
