IDEO Shanghai is looking for ME interns who are enthusiastic and have a taste for variety, creativity, and chaos.
Our ideal candidate will have broad interests in design strategy, concept development, and prototyping, multi-media and possess a range of tools to communicate design intent. You are a self-directed, flexible team player who has great interpersonal skills. You are looking to apply your formal training to challenges that focus less on the final product/design and more on the creative process as a tool that can be applied to a wide range of projects. At IDEO, we work in multidisciplinary teams. This means you do a lot of listening, observing, brainstorming, and iterating with a group of people with backgrounds very different to yours. Proficiency in English is essential for the position.
Internship last approximately 2-months. You need to:
Has an interesting portfolio of personal and school project work. The work presented in this portfolio should reveal the following: - Creativity. We must regularly produce clever and creative solutions to problems. Our process relies on people who are "idea" people, over "detail" or "discipline-focused" people. - The candidate can work cooperatively and productively in a team. Highly ranked candidates will show work done with a team composed of designers from other disciplines (Human Factors, Marketing, Industrial Design, etc.) - The candidate is prepared to learn about how to work in areas outside the area of degreed focus. i.e: It is expected that our engineers work on strategy or concept projects, where they may contribute in the areas of Human Factors, Business Factors, Industrial Design, etc. as they participate in formulating concepts. Your Duties will include: - Participation in multi-discipline teams in strategic and conceptual projects as well as engineering design projects -- Participation in Research activities, including benchmarking and user-focused research -- Concept generation with a project team -- Verification of concepts through engineering methods, prototyping and other tools - Assistance with day-to-day office infrastructure tasks 联系方式：
