| SOFTWARE ENGINEERTRAX Asia, a leading supplier of engineering software for power and process applications, is seeking an enthusiastic Software Engineer to develop state-of-the-art products for process simulation and analysis. Position will require applicant to design, test, implement, and support software products to be used by in-house engineering staff and outside customer base. This includes sophisticated and complex analysis software, special interfaces to 3rd party hardware and software, and custom simulation and training software. Applicant should be comfortable working independently as well as with a small group, and interacting directly with customers. REQUIRED SKILLS: Two years of programming experience is desirable. A high level of proficiency in C/C++ is required; familiarity with Fortran is a plus. Must be experienced in the use of Microsoft Visual Studio. Experience in database software development using ODBC, JDBC, etc. helpful. Knowledge of object-oriented programming techniques and the use of components (COM/COM+, JavaBeans) is desirable. Must have good verbal and interpersonal skills. Experience with power or process plants preferred. Familiarity with controls and digital control systems a definite plus. EDUCATION: BS or MS in Computer Science or engineering. TRAVEL: Occasional domestic or foreign travel.
