Manufacturing Engineer

1. Ensure that purchased parts meet divisional objectives including quality, reliability, cost and product safety. Work with global commodity team to achieve commodity goals of quality, cost, delivery.
2. Responsible for technical and quality performance of China sourcing project (Global sourcing in china), make sure delivering quality parts to oversea
3. Be the quality focal point for supplier activities directed toward process control and quality assurance of sourcing mechanical parts. Monitor and drive improvement in performance of the suppliers technology (molded part design/manufacturing process capabilities) and quality programs (Six sigma, PPAP, SPC etc)
4. Evaluate and select suppliers based upon their ability to design, and the capability of their processes to manufacture parts that meet divisional needs.
5. Assist suppliers in developing unique process capabilities to match unique design requirements.
6. Develop and maintain commodity expertise and supply market intelligence in China and or global supply markets.
7. Conduct supply market research to identify suppliers with the best long
