Qualifications:
- BA or BS in CS/IS or equivalent experience with systems software and database administration.
- MCSE Certification.
- CCNA Certification (CCNP Certification preferred).
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft programming. Functional knowledge of standards
-based (TCP/IP) applications (e.g. account management, directory and authentication services, SMTP, POP, HTTP, FTP).
- Hands
-on experience in a multi
-vendor/platform operating and data base systems environment including installation, configuration, tailoring, modification, and maintenance of hardware, software, database, and systems software tools.
- Experience in providing both end user and operational technical support within a production environment.
- Experience in performance measurement and tuning of systems hardware and software.
- Knowledge and experience in working with security and authentication methods and tools.
- Ability to quickly learn technical skills from documentation and both self
-administered and formal training courses.
- Ability to work concurrently on multiple tasks and projects.
- Ability to write technical specifications and operational and end user documentation.
- Ability to work independently and communicate progress/problems to appropriate personnel effectively.
- Experience with enterprise computing environments, comprised of multiple systems delivering mission
-critical applications.
- Experience in understand complex control programs and/or scripts.
- Ability to make effective use of other staff knowledge and expertise as a member of a cross
-organizational team.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively in a variety of roles with a wide variety of technical and non
-technical management and staff.
- Experience as technical project lead providing project planning and management, and guidance or mentoring to team members. Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the installation and system tuning for Windows 2003 environment
- Experience with enterprise system rollouts in a country
-wide environment
- Experience with enterprise level email system deployment and support in a university environment
- Experience with enterprise level directory services (LDAP) deployment and support in a country
-wide environment using Microsoft Active Directory 200

- Experience with network equipment such as routers, layer 3 switches and firewalls using cisco routers and switches.
