JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assemble sales quotes; proposals, and other sales support materials in coordination with the regional sales staff. Ability to develop and present winning presentations. Proactively seek opportunities to improve profits.
2. Responsible for reviewing original request for proposal (RFP) and tender documents, coordinating deadlines, resources and documents to complete the RFP/tender, and complete an initial/final review with the sales person.
3. Quote and profitably sell custom product under $100,000 direct to customers within assigned region.
4. Receive phone calls from customers and be able to back up the sales person as needed.
5. Lead coordination to include taking information from conventions, advertising, plan room, and other lead sources, contacting to qualify the leads and working with sales person on best response.
6. Reseller service to include providing support to established resellers and to be an internal advocate for international resellers or customer to resolve problems as needed.
7. Research new sales niches as prioritized by Regional Sales Staff. Present summarized findings as requested.
8. Proactively call existing customers. Will include pre-season, pre-event sales calls for equipment updates, maintenance, and/or training: during season calls to inquire on equipment performance; and/or post season/event calls to obtain feedback and inquire about future sales possibilities. Proactively seek opportunities to improve services to customers and increase sales.
9. Responsible for reviewing the accounts receivables report. Will investigate issues for nonpayment and work with sales person, project manager or accounting to secure payment.
10. Coordinate with marketing group for new order mailings, regional mailing and marketing program. Assist with marketing efforts including dealer seminars, product development, sales literature and training.
11. Continuously learn about Daktronics products by attending internal product and sales training.
12. Limited travel. Will participate in selected regional meetings, conventions, bid reviews, and product demonstrations. Participation may require weekend travel.
13. Work effectively as a team member, work with little supervision, communicate effectively with team members including sales, support, applications engineering, project managers, customer service, and manufacturing; help when and where needed; make and implement suggestions for process improvement.
14. Supervise support and student staff within the region

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelors Degree in Business or technical emphasis, or equivalent Daktronics experience.
2. Reasonable knowledge of Daktronics product line or demonstrated ability to learn technical products quickly.
3. Strong communication skills including verbal and written, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal. Foreign Language skills preferred/beneficial.
4. Ability to travel, via air transport and drive, on a limited, scheduled basis. Valid drivers license and clean driving record. Motor vehicle records will be checked.
5. Above-average computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Word, Internet navigation, e-mail programs. Capable of learning Glovia and Maximizer. Keyboarding skills above 40WPM.
6. Able to work flexible hours, as needed, to support sales efforts in the Region (due to time zone differences). Will require weekend hours due to regional workweek.
7. Goal oriented, with proven leadership capability.
8. Demonstrated ability to plan and execute according to plan. Ability to manage time properly to meet deadlines.
9. Ability to work independently with little supervision. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
10. Prefer Spanish language skills.
11. Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.
