1) Position Name: Field Application Engineer
2) Position Location: Beijing, China
3) Position responsibilities:
FAE’s are responsible for managing technical relationship with 6WIND customers or prospects. This includes the following tasks:
• Technical presentation of 6WIND products:
o IP Networking Platform concepts,
o 6WIND expertise for supporting multi-hardware platform including: X86, XP, Multi-Core
• Set-up of technical evaluations
o Definition of evaluation
o Monitoring progress with customers
o Solving issues
• First level customer support during evaluation
o Provide answers/solutions to customers requests
• Provide demonstration of 6WIND products to customers
• Provide technical analysis, support, proposal on the existing accounts
• Define SoW for qualified prospects to approach the closure of the contract

4) Position requirements
To be successful in its jobs, the following skills are required:
• Linux:
o Install and configure demonstration,
o System administration (configuration of network services)
• Networking protocols including IP, Routing, Security
• English:
o All discussions inside 6WIND take place in English
o Should be able to read & write mails, documentation
• Familiar with Difference HW platforms including X86, XP, ARM, and Muti-Core including Cavium Octeon, RMI XLR and Intel Muti-core.
• C, C++ Programming
• Targeted markets knowledge:
o Network Equipment Manufactuerers: Technology, Network Protocols
o Security Vendors
o Home Electronics Manufacturers.
