Primary Job ResponsibilitiesThis is a dual role within the Strategy function of the Information Security Team.This position will perform metrics tool administration and develop metrics, analytics, and reporting to measure and evaluate the status and success of the team and related departments within the Marketplaces organization.This position will also play a role in the teams vendor selection process and develop requirements documents for cutting edge new technologies and services.The position will also support budgetary processes as needed.Metrics/Reporting:
-Develop metrics program standards based on best practice, building consistency in data retrieval and data synthesis methods and incorporating quality concepts and methodology
-Prepare reports and presentations to effectively communicate actionable insights comparing results and communicating interdependencies between groups of interrelated metrics
-Measure team performance across business units in a formalized balanced scorecard reporting structure highlighting key performance indicators relevant for planning, historical trends, what
-ifscenarios and justifying new initiatives
-Facilitate the transition to a fact based decision making culture by creating a credible, verifiable automated metrics infrastructure
-Research and incorporate industry specific comparison benchmark data as part of metrics program rollout
-Support on
-going data analysis to identify data anomalies within all reporting systems and to assist in efforts to correct and ensure data accuracy
-Create ad hoc reports to support short term needs
-Admin automated reporting toolsVendor Selection & Tools Strategy:
-Coordinate with InfoSec managers and Marketplaces engineers to understand business and technical requirements
-Research and understand industry technologies and provide recommendations on which products to evaluate
-Working with Procurement templates, write requirements documents identifying all categories of evaluation with rating percentages and point allocations
-Perform bid analyses and develop technical recommendations for purchase
-Assist Vendors to meet qualification requirements to deliver services and products to eBayJob Requirements:
-Bachelors Degree, preferably in a Business, Computer Science, or Engineering concentration
-Basic understanding of Information Security concepts and technology
-Expert knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio; Knowledge of HTML a plus
-Able to develop original approach for analyzing and solving unstructured problems
-Can independently find credible sources of internal and external data to support analytics
-Experience creating charts, graphs, tables, business presentations
-Solid metrics/statistical reporting experience with automated reporting tools (Cognos, Crystal Reports, etc) is preferred
-Highly analytical mind with strong problem solving skills
-Experience in report writing, spreadsheet and database development, data management, and presentation development
-Experience developing technical RFPs
-Strong organizational, written, editing skills
-Be highly motivated and work with very little supervision
-Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing along strict timelines and follow
-through successfully
-Detail oriented, ability to learn templates as well as page layouts
-Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
