ESSENTIAL FUNCTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsible for interfacing with business technology development leaders to determine needs for future decisioning products for supply/cold chain, asset optimization and telematics platforms.
* Develop new service offerings for asset optimization/ telematics businesses, based on pervasive connectivity networks, incorporating interactions among assets and agents.
* Must interface with the business customers to gather voice of the customer and colleagues at GRC Niskayuna on a regular basis.
* Assemble technical teams to implement new sensor and decisioning products through prototype stage.
* Coordinate technology transition to the businesses. Determine technology landscape and identify disruptive technologies.

* MS or PhD required in engineering/computer science with strong emphasis on decisioning and planning algorithms, distributed computing and/or embedded systems.
* Demonstrated project management skills, including customer centricity and team building.
* The applicant should be highly motivated and have strong oral and written communication skills
