I. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

The position will be responsible for maintaining optimum levels of inventory in assigned product categories by working within the guidelines provided as set by the Materials Planning Manager. This individual will perform various tasks to assist with materials planning, production optimization and inventory control. This will include monitoring of batch history, raw materials usage history, finished goods shipping history, sales forecast etc. to determine future needs and make a plan accordingly to optimize inventory and production.

II. ACCOUNTABILITY

This position will report directly to the Materials Planning Manager.

III. SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

1.Must have a College degree in a technical or accounting field.
2.Must have good understanding of oral and written English language
3.Must be comfortable working in a team environment with shared responsibilities
4.Must have mind for details, good organizational skills and very meticulous (careful) in completing tasks.
5.Must have a very good understanding of basic computer software, such as MS Word, Excel, etc
6.Must have knowledge and experience with Materials Requirement Planning.

IV.TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Associated tasks will include analysis of sales and usage data from system
2.Work with sales and customer service to create stocking plans
3.Work with manufacturing to organize production schedule and open production batches for Made-to-Order and Made-to-Stock items.
4.Work with the purchasing to set re-order points and order quantities
5.Monitor and maintain stock of intermediates
6.Monitor the age of finished goods and provide information to various departments to minimize over-aging of materials
7.Conduct write-downs of un-saleable finished goods or obsolete raw materials and assist the warehouse in segregating such materials
8.Lead cycle count team to validate and adjust inventory data
9.Other tasks as required to execute the assigned job responsibility
