?The Strategic Partnership Group develops technical and business relationships with key businesses in China to help promote Microsoft technologies and products. SPG is creating a number of new partner programs in order to capture the digital home market in China. Microsoft is well
-positioned to dominate the home multi
-media and automation markets. We are therefore adding researchers to our team who can help to discover and document market trends, track product announcements, and collect business information on relevant companies.You will be working for senior program managers in the team to do detailed research on digital media, home automation, consumer electronics, and PC software trends and product directions. You will also track news items in order to profile existing and emerging technology and media companies. Your work will include research on the web and in printed media in both Chinese and English. You may also be required to make telephone calls and conduct interviews to collect information that is otherwise unavailable. The information you find must be detailed and organized into various digital and paper formats for distribution to managers. You may also be required to give presentations.Responsibilities:Conduct in

-technical people to conduct interviews and collect informationCapture collected data into databases, spreadsheets, presentations and documents using Microsoft Office toolsCreate and maintain shared information websites and newsfeedsShow initiative, resourcefulness, creative thinking and adaptabilityMay act as informal interpreter in meetingsContacts:This position will work primarily with the SPG team. Contact with companies and individuals outside of Microsoft to conduct required research. Competencies:Demonstrate strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlinesStrong written and verbal skills in Mandarin Chinese and EnglishExcellent business writing and content organizing skills;Good personal presentation skills and ability to present research findings to teamAbility to communicate effectively with technical and business peopleBasic IT industry knowledge.QualificationsBachelor degree in business, marketing, English language or equivalent.Demonstrated research skills (work or university experience).Strong hands
-on skills with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint required; experience with SharePoint, web development and graphics design software highly preferred.Excellent English speaking and writing skills.
