Business Unit DescriptionIBM China Research Laboratory is growing its information and knowledge department in 200
7.The department is dedicated to advancing information management technology on the next generation Web, e.g.Semantic Web.One of its mission is to develop key technologies for semantic metadata management and simplify information integration by leverage semantic rich metadata.Collaborating with IBM world wide research team and academic research, the research team is going to promote the Semantic Web research from academic to industry use and differentiate IBMs information management and SOA software and service.Job DescriptionReseacher: Research on semantic technology working on on one of following areas.The result will be high quality research papers and high performance systems.
1) Logical data Modeling, or
2) Data exchange, distributed system, or
3) Ontology repository and reasoningR&D Engineer: Design and development of software and solutions in one of following area.
1) Data modeling for certain industry or enterprise
2) Data exchange system design with distributed heterogenous data sources
3) High performance metadata repositoryCandidates: Ph.D or Master Degree majored in CS, Math, or related;QualificationsBachalor or higher degree on CSDesired Experience
1) Research and development experience on artificial intelligence, especially on knowledge representation
2) Research and development experience on advanced DBMS, especially on high performance DB
3) Research and development experience on software engineering, especially on data architecture
4) Research and development experience on distributed system, especially on distributed index/storage or transaction management
5) Research and development experience on information integration
6) Development experience in C/C++ or JAVADesired Skills
