The responsibilities include:
- Build new software release on new Linux releases on (Redhat, SuSE)
- Verification of the OS with new driver/hardware/firmware and other component changes.
- Triage, debug internal/external escalations; provide and release bugfixes.
Required Knowledge:
C or C++ language. Detail oriented.
Must be able to communicate in English and Mandarin.
Experience with Linux device driver or kernel development.
Preferred Knowledge:
This position requires strong knowledge of Linux internals and kernel
development experience.
The ideal candidate should have a good grasp of issues encountered in system
software (device drivers and configuration, memory management, file systems,
multithreading, boot up code, BIOS, networking).
Familiarity with x86 architecture, Intel/AMD processors, ACPI, I/O protocols
such as USB, PCI/PCI-e, SATA, SCSI, IPMI, HyperTransport.
Experience with source management tool such as Teamware and/or SCCS.
Experience with generating RPMs and driver patches.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 5+
MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATION: BS
