Job description


The BJ Wireless Tools team provides interactive, automated, traffic and capacity testing tools for Design, Product Test, VO/Field Support and other users across Nortel. Comprehensive verification solutions are available for GSM, GPRS, UMTS, CDMA and other products, such as Hardware board. The team also investigates and recommends 3rd party solutions.

Skills & Knowledge Required

The successful candidate is expected to either have or be trained in:


. Strong software design/development/debugging skills (C/C++, Java, Shell); Familiar with Linux;

. Strong analytical/problem solving capabilities

. Extensive knowledge in data communication;

. Extensive working knowledge in understanding/developing protocols such as ATM, TCP/IP, SS7 etc

. Good communication skills.

. Excellent English in reading/writing/Oral Communication, CET4 or above

. The following is a plus

* Telecom knowledge

* Experience on developing automation tests



Qualifications

University degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related fields

Travel Required: Minimal travel

Position Type: Contractor

Shift: Day/First Shift
