NETWORK R&D ENGINEER (in Wireless Communications and Networks)

France Telecom R&D Beijing is seeking qualified applicants for the positions of Researcher in Wireless Communications and Networks Lab. The qualified candidates will be expected to perform R&D work in IP networks. Further qualifications are detailed below:

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Reporting line
o Report to the head of wireless communications and networks lab
• Main activities
o Investigate the current telecom IP network structure, address usages and operational management.
o Propose the solutions for migration from IPv4 to IPv6 network
o Design and implement new IPv6 service and application scenarios.
o Develop the prototype to prove the concept of idea
o Some flexibility in assignment may be required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

o M.S. degree in CS, EE or related fields. Candidates with 1-3 years of work experience are particularly encouraged to apply.
o Excellent programming skills in C/C++, Java are required.
o Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols: Addressing, Routing, NAT/NAT Traversal, SIP, etc.
o Knowledge of Telecom networks such as access and core network, H.323, NGN, IMS, etc.
o knowledge of IPv6 is a plus
o Good presentation and written skills are expected. Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of French is a plus.
