JOB SPECIFICATION Position Title: Customer Services Engineer
This incumbent is to attend the technical services for BARCO group equipment and products. Such services will include site preparations, installations, trouble-shooting, repair, preventive maintenance, relocations, remove, upgrading, and other technical services. Perform technical support to dealers, diagnose, troubleshoot, service and fix all open technical issues; follow proper instructions through service manuals, and verbally from specialists of Belgium and other manufacturing plants, team leaders, senior technicians and other more experienced engineers/technicians. Prepare service orders, service reports, and other administrative records as required. Ensure equipment installed or serviced meeting design and safety specifications. Frequent travel required. 1) Provide 24/7 support on after-sales service. 2) Attend field service calls. The services will include site preparations, repair and preventive maintenance services, parts replacement, relocations and modifications, etc., 3) Supply supporting services for BARCO equipment & products, this will include troubleshooting, repairing, modifications, fixing the equipment & products on board or component level. 4) Provide technical service & marketing support to BUs such as: exhibitions, seminars, roadshows, and on-site demo modifications to customer request, etc. 5) Supply operator and user training to dealers and/or end-users as required. 6) Work with BUs in demo activities: in-house or at customer locations. Maintain the demo room and demo equipment in perfect conditions to backup sales and marketing functions. 7) Study Info-T, updated service manuals, new product info and details, leaflets from 8) Attend monthly meeting to exchange experience, technical info and details. 9) Follow company policies and management instructions for some ad hoc assignment as required from time to time. Essential Requirements
The successful candidate must possess the following: Education o University level degree in engineering o Proficiency skills in both written and spoken English and Mandarin.
