Main Roles & Responsibilities:
- Work on Read/Write Channel Optimization for yield, quality and performance improvement
- Work on Read/Write Channel Optimization for test time reduction
- Work on Read/Write Channel and preamp issues
Educational & Competency Requirements
- Familiar with Read/Write channel and preamp
- 2 years or more work experience in a HDD or semiconductor environment
- Bachelor degree or above in Electronic Engineering
- Good analytical and problem solving skills, shows initiative
- Ability to communicate in English
2.Firmware Engineer(固件工程师)
Main Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and implement new features/functions for HDD firmware;
- Debug and test HDD firmware;
- Analyze and improve HDD test process;
- Work closely with other groups of product engineering for failure analysis;
- Launch new products.
Educational & Competency Requirements
- Bachelors degree or higher with majors in computer science, computer/electrical engineering, or equivalent.
- Over 2 years of successful software development experience with embedded system.
- Expertise in Assembly/C/C++ programming.
- In-depth knowledge of computer system architecture.
- Experience with HDD development is an absolute plus.
- Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
- Rigorous and persistent work style, great sense of quality and responsibility.
- Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Effective communication skills in English.
- Adapted to travel abroad for months from time to time.
3.Product Performance Analysis Engineer(产品性能分析工程师)
Main Roles & Responsibilities:
Product Quality /Yield Control:
- Provides early identification of emerging trends and enables rapid response through monitoring infrastructure and initial analysis.
- Identifies trends and transfer functions that reflect yield and quality opportunity or risk. The analysis is delivered to Product Engineering for follow-up and closure.
Product Quality /Yield improvement /New Product Launch:
- Maximizing overall material yield without compromising quality. Their primary controls are spec optimization and component matching and/or sorting. The teams collaborate along the supply chain and across sites to identify optimization opportunities, or Tasks.
- Though Drive Cert test data search ways to distinguish risk parts to protect customer quality, and make recommendations for design improvement
- Work with other groups to optimize testing process or spec to solve engineering related issues
- Support New product data analysis during launch phase
Educational & Competency Requirements
- The candidate should possess an engineering degree with significant data analysis experience. A background in magnetic recording is preferred; with experience with media manufacturing and/or drive manufacturing are highly desirable.
- Likely educational matches would be a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineering, or Applied Physics.
4.
HDIG Engineer
Main Roles & Responsibilities:
- Do HDI related analysis on failing drives and relative components, find root cause and come up with solutions
- Do HDI related research on yield/quality improvement, failure DPPM and test time reduction.
- Act as bridges on HDI technical acquisition from design center and other sites to local site, provide in-depth local FA report to design center for problem solution and improvement on next generation product.
- Co-work with other groups (production, process, core-team and other system engineering team) to work out and push the HDIG solution implementation and populating to other programs.
Educational & Competency Requirements
- Master or Bachelor with minimum 1~2 years of relevant working experience in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field.
- Following is preferred:
- Experience in the usage of analysis tools eg. Candela, Matlab, Statistics, Fluent, Ansys etc is preferred.
- Strong knowledge in analog and digital electronic circuitry
- Knowledge in the area of Coding and Signal processing will be an advantage.
- Familiar in C/C++, Python, Labview programming preferred.
5.Servo/Mech Engineer
Main Roles & Responsibilities:
- Analyze and optimize of servo/mechanical system of Hard Disk Drive (HDD)
- Design and implement advanced control algorithm.
- Enhance/Optimize Servo Calibrations and Tests to reduce test time.
Educational & Competency Requirements
- Bachelor or above in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Following is preferred:
- Knowledge of hard disk drive, ATA or SCSI (Small Computer System Interface) and servo systems is a plus.
- Strong knowledge in analog and digital electronic circuitry
- Knowledge in the area of Coding and Signal processing will be an advantage.
- Familiar in C/C++, Python, Labview programming preferred.
