Internship Opportunity at Speech Group, Microsoft Research Asia

We are looking for a visiting student for our research project on computational auditory scene analysis (CASA) and audio signal separation. If you are qualified and interested in this opportunity, please contact Dr. Lie Lu (llu@) and attach your resume.

Objectives:
1. survey state of the art regarding the human’s brain mechanisms of masking and signal separation
2. explore novel ways for computational auditory scene analysis
3. explore the potential applicability in speech analysis and speech recognition

Requirements:
1. strong background on audio signal processing and speech analysis
2. background on auditory scene analysis a plus
3. good coding skills on C++/C#/Matlab
4. supervisor’s approval
