Firmenich is a Swiss, family-owned company, founded in Geneva in 1895. The Company is the third leader of the world's Fragrance & Flavor Industry. Group sales reached an annual turnover of CHF2.5 billion for its fiscal year ended June 30, 2007.

We invested 10% of our annual turnover in R&D. In 1939, Nobel Prize in chemistry was awarded to Leopold Ruzicka for his work in association with Firmenich. We filed 30 new patent applications during the fiscal year 2007 for new fragrance and flavor ingredients, processes and delivery systems.

In Perfumery sector, we have four business units - Fine Fragrance, Body Care, Home Care and Perfumery Ingredients. In Flavor sector, we boast three global business units - Sweet Goods, Savory Foods and Beverages.
