The candidate for this position will be part of the IBM SAP Integration and Support Center (ISIS) team in IBM Beijing Lab, who will work on the integration, support and test of SAP applications on DB2 new releases. ISIS Beijing team works as part of ISIS Toronto team, and maybe required to take business calls outside business hours a few times a week.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing integration solutions
- Executing test plans
- Investigating SAP DB2 issues
- Working with important SAP DB2 customers as lab advocates.
The position will also provide some outbound consulting services to support SAP DB2 customers in critical projects. Some travel might be required. Some team members might need to work on the support hotline.

The idea candidate should have the following technical skills:
Knowledge of DB2 or Oracle product on distributed platforms;
Knowledge of Linux, UNIX and Windows platforms;
Programming skill with Java, C, PERL, etc;
DB2 development or test experience is an asset;
SAP knowledge such as BASIS/ABAP programming is considered a great asset.
The ideal candidate should have the following capabilities:
Good oral and written communication skill is required;
The ability to quickly analyze complex technical issues is critical;
Presentation skills, organizational and teaming skills are important;
Fluent spoken and written English is preferred;
Other Asia language skills are considered an asset.
