Recruit position:
Environmental specialist

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The person will work in Design for Excellence team to strengthen our team as an environmental specialist. The work will include the following responsibilities:
§ Follow the trends of academic/technical research in (green) environmental related area, and identify the possibilities for NSN (Nokia Siemens Networks) products and business
§ Identify the gap between current or near future solutions/standards and the middle/long-term expectation as well as the business potentials for NSN in environmental area
§ Identify the possible methods/solutions to fill the gap and the related challenges
§ Contribution to provide answers to customer inquiries and solving problems raised by customers
§ Analyze NSN product concepts, solutions and research activities from environmental and customer needs point of view and challenge teams when necessary
§ Planning, proposing and coordinating research activities in areas related to Design for Environment
§ Transform market / customer environmental requirements into technical requirements
§ Follow environmental area related standardization and legislation


REQUIREMENTS:
M.Sc. degree in telecommunications, electrical engineering, environmental science or equivalent. Personal interest in developing competences and skills in environmental issues. Fluent in English. Able to work independently and in virtual teams across NSN. Willing to take on new challenges and eager to learn new things. Good presentation, facilitation and negotiation skills and are knowledgeable in information seeking. Able to specify, plan and report the project area. Work may require some traveling.
