Key responsibilities:
1. Policies & System
Develop and implement policies and procedures for research & development and engineering, establish and monitor the standards for ethical conduct in accordance with regulatory requirements and management expectations
Set up performance criteria and mechanisms for monitoring the work flow and progress;
2. Engineering
Ensure continuous production by directing maintenance activity that prevent or minimise the impact of down time on the business and production cost objectives
Direct and manage the integration of new model engines into the manufacturing process as required by special projects, like enhancement on the package, and ensure delivery to schedule and budget objectives
3. Cost Saving
Achieve overall operation cost objectives by effectively managing labour requirements and other significant variable costs
Secure best possible saving on the packaging without detracting from perceived product quality
Develop and implement policies which ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and statutory requirements in order to minimise risk exposure and liabilities
4. People Management
Recruits, motivates and evaluates performance of subordinate personnel; ensure the development of skills, knowledge and capabilities to improve personnel performance, motivation and teamwork
Key qualifications:
1. Expert knowledge in international and local systems, procedures and standards in relation to Engineering and Research & Development
2. Thorough understanding of the company’s organization and business, including business strategies and objectives and implications on area of responsibility
3. University graduate plus at least 10 years of relevant work experience within a broader business environment which requires development and implementation of policies or methodologies relevant to own area of responsibility
4. Strong influence & cross-function skills; strong leadership
5. Mature, passionate and strong intern-personal skills
