Head Advanced Test Engineering (ATE), as a young department in Hitachi GST, wi
ll contribute to the company's success of nowadays as well as the future. For 
the nowadays, we develop new technologies to satisfy the customers by reducing
 the cost and by improving the performances of our products. For the future, A
TE will develop advanced technologies for the next generation products.

Position Information:
1. RW engineer for Channel features development 读写工程师一
Responsibilities:
- Work with vendors to integrate channel features into drives development;
- Evaluate channel performance by drive tap and spin stand.
Qualifications:
- MS or Ph.D. Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, or Communications;

Skills:
- Good knowledge of digital signal processing, electronic hardware integration
 engineering; 
- Knowledge in Magnetic Recording Physics, is a plus; 
- Proficiency in programming with C and C++ and Matlab;
- Experience with scope (LeCroy etc), Spectrum Analyzer and Network Analyzer; 
 
- Good English in speaking, reading and writing;
- Self-motivated and proactive, good communicator and team player, capable of 
working independently.
2. RW engineer for drive prototype development 读写工程师二
Responsibilities:
- Work with vendors and drive development team to integrate new channel and se
rvo into future drive programs;
- Implement new channel features, channel optimization algorithms into new dri
ve programs;
- Be responsible for channel, preamp settings;
- Be responsible for SER and OTRC improvement;
- Improve drive format efficient.
Qualifications:
- MS or Ph.D. Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, or Communications;

Skills:
- Good knowledge of digital signal processing, electronic hardware integration
 engineering, especially channel detection implementation like LDPC and coding
 is a plus;
- Knowledge in Magnetic Recording Physics;
- Proficiency in programming with C and C++ and Matlab; 
- Experience with scope (LeCroy etc), Spectrum Analyzer and Network Analyzer;

- Good English in speaking, reading and writing;
- Self-motivated and proactive, Good communicator and team player, capable of 
working independently.
3. Servo Control design engineer 伺服控制设计工程师
 Responsibilities
- Design and implement control algorithm for Product;
- Analyze and optimize servo/mechanical system of Product;
- Develop new algorithm for Product of next generation; 
- Work closely with other department in China and other countries.
Qualifications
- Master degree or above in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering or oth
er related Engineering;
Skills:
- Good understanding of control theory (such as classical, modern control theo
ry, robust control theory);
- Familiar with DSP/ARM and C language;
- Familiar with MATLAB and its some tool boxes such as control and signal proc
essing;
- Knowledge of source code control systems and software debug techniques;
- Good English in speaking, reading and writing;
- Self-motivated and proactive, good communicator and term player, but capable
 of working independently
4. Servo Firmware Engineers 伺服韧件工程师
 Responsibilities
- Control algorithm implementation;
- Design control system related program and system structure in C/C++;
- Design and implementation of Product servo related software such as FA and m
easurement；
- Working closely with other department in China and other foreign countries.	

Qualifications
- Master degree or above in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering or oth
er related Engineering;
Skills:
- Familiarity with C, C++ language;
- Knowledge of DSP/ARM assembly language;
- Familiarity with MATLAB;
- Knowledge of version control systems and software debug techniques;
- Knowledge of hard disk drive/tester, ATA or SCSI interface is a plus;
- Good English in speaking, reading and writing;
- Self-motivated and proactive, good communicator and term player, capable of 
working independently.
5. Firmware engineers 韧件工程师
Responsibilities
- Design and implementation of HDD Product firmware;
- Testing and debugging of existing firmware program;
- Development of test software/ firmware for HDD testing;
- Documentation and its maintenance for firmware program;
- Working closely with other departments in China and other countries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or rela

Skills:
- Good experience in software/firmware development;
- C language required;
- Good English in speaking, reading and writing is necessary;
- Assembly language experience (for DSP or ARM) preferred. C++ language is a p
lus;
- Good OS (RTOS/non-ROTS) knowledge is a plus. ARM experience is a plus. 
- Self-motivated and proactive, good communicator and term player, capable of 
working independently.
6. Software Engineers 软件工程师
Responsibilities
- Design and implementation of interface program based on current Product and 
measurement software;
- Design and implementation of the kernel WDM driver;
- Development of testing software for the Product;
- Design and implementation of system software;
- Documentation and its maintenance for the tools;
- Working closely with other department in China and other countries and offer
 the necessary tools assistant.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or rela
ted engineering;
Skills:
- In depth knowledge of C/C++/C# /Java and graphic user interface programming;

- be proficient in programming in ;
- Familiarity with Windows 98, 2000, XP and Linux application programming;
- Experience with the WDM driver development; 
- Experience with COM;
- Experience with the digital image processing programming;
- Experience with MATLAB programming;
- Knowledge of version control systems and software debug techniques;
- Experience with PC applications that control external hardware;
- Knowledge of hard disk drive, SATA or SCSI interface and servo systems is a 
plus;
- Good English in speaking, reading and writing;
- Self-motivated and proactive, good communicator and term player, capable of 
working independently.
7. Mechanical Testing Engineers 机械测试工程师
 Responsibilities
- Work with product development team to support product mechanical performance
 test;
- Documentation for test plans, test set up, test result reports etc.
- Work with design, analysis, failure analysis, and other related teams to dev
elop and analyze disk drive component/system and provide solutions for product
 continuation;
- Build test/analysis result database and build tools for correlation or other
 purpose; 
- Working closely with other departments in China and other countries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering.

Skills:
- Good in one of the fields: mechanics, thermal, dynamics, electromagnetic;
- Experience in static/dynamic/thermal testing;
- Knowledge of instrumentation is required;
- Knowledge of design, and analysis using CAD software and FEA software is a p
lus;
- Good English in speaking, reading and writing;
- Self-motivated and proactive, good communicator and term player, capable of 
working independently.
8 Mechanical Design Engineers 机械设计工程师
 Responsibilities
- Develop product from concept to production;
- Provide 2-D drawing for assembly and parts;
- Perform tolerance analysis;
- Working closely with other department in China and other countries.
Qualifications
- Master Degree and above in mechanical engineering or related discipline;
Skills:
- Be familiar with one of the softwares: Solidworks, Catia, Pro/E;
- Knowledge of structural analysis is a plus;
- Good English in speaking, reading and writing;
- Self-motivated and proactive, good communicator and term player, capable of 
working independently.
9 Mechanical Simulation Engineers 机械分析工程师
 Responsibilities
- Work with product development team to support mechanical analysis requiremen
ts;
- Responsible for static/dynamic/thermal/electromagnetic analysis;
- Analyze simulation results to perfect the simulation modeling and parameters
;
- Develop tools for model correlation and other purposes.
Qualifications
- Master degree and above in Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering;
Skills:
- Strong background in solid mechanics and vibration;
- Experience with ANSYS and Matlab is a must;
- Experience with Solidworks/Catia/ProE is preferred;
- Knowledge of rotor dynamics is a plus;
- Good English in speaking, reading and writing;
