- Graphics engine and media (audio and/or video) codec such as Open GL*, D3D, Direct X*, MPEG2/4, H.263, G.711, MP3

- Software engineering methodology such as Product Life Cycle or SEI

- Software testing methodology

- Web services development such as * and/or Apache and/or AXIS and Extensible Markup Language (XML) and/or SOAP and/or WSDL, knowledge of Web service specifications such as Windows-Addressing, Windows-Security

- All layers of the OSI interconnect model and TCP/IP network stacks

- Development experience of wireless protocols such as Bluetooth, 802.11x, VOIP or telecommunication such as the signaling or the cellular related

- Design and development of voice, video, conference, fax and other telephony application software

- Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) design and implementation

- Fluent spoken and written English would be an added advantage

- Communication skills with internal or external partners, customers and vendors would be an added advantage

- Strong sense on team work, customer orientation, quality and discipline would be an added advantage

- Internship experience in outsourcing company or Multinational Company would be an added advantage

- Knowledge and experience in one or more following areas would be an added advantage



- In-depth knowledge of Basic Input Output System (BIOS) and PC architecture

- Expert knowledge in assembly programming language and C

- Strong knowledge of PC internals details

- Ability to program in both real and protected mode

- Experience or knowledge in one or more of the following BIOS fields: Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI), Intel? Active Management Technology (Intel? AMT), CPU module, memory algorithms, power and/or mobile and/or battery management and Plug and Play (PnP)

- System level debugging skills that enable the root causing of potential issues at the operating system level

- Strong low level debugging skills that enable the root causing of issues at the BIOS and hardware level that arise during validation testing of new processors, chipsets and client boards

- Working knowledge of the software engineering development process, project life cycle, PC BIOS architecture and mobile PC operating systems

- Ability to work well in a diverse team environment as well as with cross site peers

- Ability to multitask

- Familiarity with In-Target Probe (ITP) and logic analyzers

- Familiarity of Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI) and/or framework and/or Tiano* BIOS would be an added advantage

- Knowledge of and past experiences with OS-level driver and/or DLL programming would be an added advantage
