Global Shares Job Description

 

Job Title:       China Business Development Intern

Location:       Shanghai, China

Job Type:      20 Hours/Week part-time - 6 month internship (schedule to be negotiated)

Qualification:  Bachelors or higher degree (Business Related)

Salary:           2.5% commission of revenue from new administrative fees in the first year

                       Opportunities to advance within the company upon review by senior management.

Resources:       Access to company contact database, office space and materials, use of computer and telephone.

Obligations:      Maintaining confidentiality upon departing Global Shares.

A multinational financial services firm, Global Shares offers independent global employee share plan administration services as well as related administrative consulting services to companies around the globe operating employee stock option plans..

The successful candidate will join the team responsible for the processing of operational transactions related to one or more global share plan programs.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Supporting the China Country Manager in Business Development activities.
  • Interacting with prospects/partners on sales related issues.
  • Assisting in finding and developing relations with contacts and new leads. 
  • Organizing and participating in presentations, calls, and meetings.
  • Organising seminars with partners and industry -related organizations to raise awareness and understanding of employee share plans.
  • Developing custom marketing materials and proposals for contacts.
  • Developing marketing materials for general circulation in the China market.
  • Obtaining a working understanding of employee share plans.
  • Addressing questions and operational issues from clients' employees and senior executives as well as from all contacts.
  • Maintaining a contact database
  • Translating documents.
  • Working to develop potential sources of referrals.
