Job Post – Research Assistant

Job description: 

­    Support China Center’s various research projects including business cycle, consumer markets, labor and talent issues, and financial stability entry-level economics.

­    Collect & Analyze economic and financial data under the guidance of other researchers

­    Create spreadsheets, charts and PowerPoint slides summarizing results of research

­    Conduct internet research on targeted industries and summarize results

Qualification Requirements:

­    A bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics;

­    Broad interests in economics;

­    Strong data analysis skills (including Excel and use of statistical software – SAS, Eviews, STATA, etc);

­    Good English language ability and effective communication skills;

­    Native Chinese

­    Intern experience in a collaborative research environment preferred (e.g. consulting market research, think tank, or government agency)
