Freudenberg has held business ties with customers and partners in China for over 100 years. The Group has a workforce of some 3,800 employees at 45 locations. Ten Freudenberg companies are represented in China with production centers as well as sales and service offices. They serve most industries in China including automotive, energy and chemical, medical and pharmaceutical, textile and clothing, mechanical and plant engineering. The regional head office for China, based in Shanghai, offers the Freudenberg companies centralized services for Finance, Tax, Legal, Human Resources and Communication as well as Crisis Management support.
With an annual double-digit growth, Freudenberg in China has experienced dynamic development in the last years. From 2004 - 2009, together with its partners in the region, the Group had invested a further RMB 1.65 billion in production plants and distribution.
The parent company of the Freudenberg Group is Freudenberg & Co. KG, a limited partnership. The company controls and coordinates the activities of the Group. It comprises the Management board and various corporate functions. The corporate functions support the Management Board and advise the Business Groups and Divisions. In addition, they are responsible for performing various corporate services for the Group.
We are market leader in most of our markets. As a market leader we define the standards in our industry and we are benchmark for our competitors. That requires more than outstanding products and it requires not at least people with skills and personalities high above average.
