P&G's Global Analytical Organization has an opening for a Scientist to develop and deploy seperation methods to drive technology and product development across all business areas. The successful candidate will join a core analytical Seperation Science laboratory where teamwork and individual initiative are highly valued. The group forms active partnerships with technology and product development to support a broad range of initiatives throughout our company. Current core instrumentation includes: Waters Alliance HPLC, Quattro MS/MS, Micromass ZQ, Acquity UPLC & other separation related instrument. The position is located at one of P&G's research centers in Beijing, P.R. China. P&G is a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment that demands strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills to successfully deliver business results.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will:
- Partner effectively with multi-functional, multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., Product Development and Technology Development teams) and deliver critical seperaton analysis needs.
- Guide project direction through new technical insights and recommendations.
- Identify, develop, and deply novel seperation capabilities.
- Provide technical coaching to others.
- Create greater awareness of Seperation Science within R&D and how it applies to the business.
- Develop a vision for Seperation Science applications across P&G's product and technology development.

The successful candidate must have a Doctoral degree demonstrating in-depth knowledge of Separation Science (polymer seperation, natural product analysis, bioanalysis, trace analysis, or related field) and deep technical mastery in several of the separation techniques regading above needs (LC, LC/MS, 2D LC, etc.). Example diciplines include, but are not limited to Seperation Science, Analytical Chemistry, Natural product Chemistry, Chemistry. Organic Chemistry, Phytochemistry etc. Postdoctoral experience demonstrating independent research is highly desirable. Familiarity with techniques such as Gas Chromatography, GC/MS, Ion Chromatography will be a plus. The selected candidate will also have demonstrated leadership skills, innovation and creative problem solving skills, collaboration skills with people in other disciplines, and strong oral and written communication skills.
The candidate must be a Chinese citizen and will be hired as a local employee.

The successful candidate will join a mutli technique/discipline laboratory where teamwork and individual initiative are highly valued. The group forms active partnerships with technology and product development to support a broad range of initiatives throughout our company. Current core mass spectrometry instrumentation on-site includes Waters Micromass Quattro Micro API triple quadrupole LC/MS/MS and Waters Micromass ZQ single quadrupole LC/MS among others. P&G is a global, fast-paced, highly collaborative environment that demands strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills to successfully deliver business results.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will:
o Partner effectively with multi-functional, multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., Product Development and Technology Development teams) and deliver critical mass spectrometry needs.
o Guide project direction through new technical insights and recommendations.
o Identify, develop, and deploy MS applications to the business via P&G internal and external connections
o Provide technical coaching to MS practitioners in the region and non MS team members.
o Manage projects that may require analytical capabilities other than MS
The successful candidate must have a Doctoral degree demonstrating in-depth knowledge of elctrospray ionization LC/MS and deep technical mastery in analysis surfactants, and its precursors and complex solutions and organic chemistry. Familiarity with techniques such as NMR, IR/Raman, will be a plus. The selected candidate will also have demonstrated leadership skills, innovation and creative problem solving skills, collaboration skills with people in other disciplines, and strong oral and written communication skills. The candidate must be a Chinese citizen and will be hired as a local employee.
