Title: ICR (Intel Cluster Ready) intern

Location: Beijing

In this position, your major responsibility is to enable the iCR program by working closely with our CRT team to construct, configure and tune the high-performance-computing servers (either a Cluster or a SMP/NuMA machine) in system-level. You will learn how to best-tune the cluster environment to gain performance, scalability and stability to support a configured HPC solution. You will be working on cluster server installation, configuration and management. You may also have opportunities to concentrate on specified HPC applications study and long-term performance tuning, parallelization, code reconstruction and multicore enabling work.  

Qualifications:

- Familiar with Linux system configuration, administration and shell programming. Has knowledge of computer architecture and micro-architecture of IA32 (Xeon) and IA64 (Itanium) processor,

- Familiar with IA Server and TCP/IP Network, Knowledge of High speed interconnect (Infiniband/Myrinet/Quadrics)

- Knowledge and experience of Cluster and parallel computing, familiar with MPI and OpenMP, familiar with Rocks and job scheduler software(PBS/SGE), knowledge of Intel Software Tools

- Fast learning and strong problem diagnosing and solving skill, capable to diagnose the software or hardware issue of cluster independently

- Initiative, Self-motivation, good team work, strong communication skill sets including fluency in both English and Chinese are required 

ICR (Intel Cluster Ready) Program is to address the issue of lack of solution recepies in the segment of  the 8~64 node small and medium HPC cluster, which are the fast growing part in China market. In order the drive iCR landing efforts in China, we need to have local software / solution stack expertise to enable the most popular usage models. Then we can enable local server partners such as Lenovo, Inspur, and Dawning to participate and grow HPC business by overcoming those solution barriers.
