Thomson Reuters Technology (China) Limited is looking for an intern of Software Tester, Software Process Technology. We are looking for a people to test, develop, configure and maintain software process tools in order to meet business needs. The individual should have strong software test capabilities.

Job Description:

• Participate in the office daily operation administration work together with the whole admin team of ThomsonReuters Beijing Operational Center
• Responsible for data recording, like training data, travel data, etc. on a weekly basis
• Responsible for coordinating with all kinds of software and hardware vendors on purchase delivery status
• Responsible for personal information collection of new joiners to the site and make sure the records is clear and up to date on a weekly basis
• Responsible for maintaining the development center staff information list
• Help with staff travel preparation, making sure the travel documents and arrangements are well prepared in a timely manner
• Participate and support site wise activities like townhall, annual party, social club, etc. under supervision from experienced administrator
• Based on performance during internship, this position will have the opportunity to become our formal contractor as full time office administrator in 2011

Qualifications:

Education:

• B.Sc.or equivalent in English, administration

Desired Experience/Skills:

• Can work as an intern for at least one year
• Good verbal and writing skills in English
• Good team work spirit
• Willing to grow through a period of tedious daily operation work
• Ability to work and communicate in a multinational people work environment

Project Summary and Position Overview:

This is a software development intern position. The successful candidate will be a part of the team building the next generation of rich media content management, delivery, and commerce platform for Reuters.com. The job requires a strong computer science background, ability to work with minimal supervision, strong software development discipline, ability to learn and apply new technologies, and ability to work on a team.

 

Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

•   Software Development.

•   Communicating with local and foreign stake holders and business.

•   Production problem resolution.

 

 

Qualifications

Education:

•   Major in CS, Engineering or related fields

Required Skills:

•   Experience with Java, JSP, J2EE

•   Expereince with MySQL / Oracle

•   Experience with iPhone/Object C development a plus

•   Expereince with Apache and Tomcat (or other J2EE containers, Weblogic, Webshper).

•   Good Knowledge of HTTP, JavaScript/AJAX, XML and XHTML required.

•   Experience with a versioning system (e.g., CVS/SVN) is required.

Requires to work at least 6 months, 4days/week.
