Aricent China Development Center was started its first footprint in Beijing since September, 2005.　 We have successfully absorbed the first group of talents from Top ten universities in telecom domains in China. The business for Beijing Center is mainly focus in the following service areas: Wireless & Convergences, Infrastructures, Mobile Terminals, Products Development and telecom service business. Aricent is recently established another center in Shen Zhen at the end of 2010. The scope of work of Aricent Shenzhen Development center currently focuses on the integration test of NSN WCDMA products. The two centers will be developed fast according to Aricent's development plan in the near future. In the past several years, the numbers of our employee were growing fast, the increasing rate reached to 100% per quarter.

In continuation of its pursuit to become a global leader in Communications, Aricent increased its footprint in China through the acquisition of the Nokia Siemens Networks site at Shenzhen. Aricent Technologies (Shen Zhen) Co. Ltd was successfully established by the end of 2010.

NSN has been the largest customer for Aricent for many years and this deal further strengthens the strategic ties between the two organizations. Shenzhen center has core expertise in the area of 3G. 46% of the employees in Shenzhen have a Masters degree, and nearly 37% of the people have over 5 years of experience. The center has been involved in NSN RNC I&V activities for nearly 5 years.

The scope of work of Aricent Shenzhen R&D center currently focuses on the integration test of NSN WCDMA products. The team is responsible for verifying system level functionalities by focusing on new/modified features and functionalities.

Aricent would have its office in Shenzhen High-Tech Park, which is located in the Nanshan District in the western part of Shenzhen, a city bordered by Hong Kong to the south. Nanshan District is within China's first special economic zone, Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, which was established in 1980. It serves as headquarters to companies like Huawei, ZTE, Kingdee, Skyworth and other large domestic high-tech firms.

The team's vision is to extend their current scope of work to cover both testing & software development work for WCDMA product of NSN. This will be extended to cover other area besides WCDMA products and eventually other customer products besides NSN. Aricent intends to grow the center to around 300 employees in the coming years, with addition of more R&D work from NSN as well as other customers.
