Test Intern - Global Address Engine

The Opportunity
Data Quality team in Information Management mission of SAP BusinessObjects Shanghai Development Center is responsible for developing our global address parsing and assignment engine. This software application is part of a suite of address data cleansing engines used in our international address cleansing software product.  The team is responsible for development and testing of address parsing and assignment features specific to Asia Pacific Japan region, and on-going data analysis of reference data used by the engine for parsing and assignment. In this position you will work with a transnational team that includes staff in Freiberg Germany, and La Crosse Wisconsin, USA. The projects this team delivers have a globally oriented scope, and are part of the world-wide SAP product suite.
As a Test Intern, you will be responsible for testing new and existing address data parsing and assignment technology, and reference data used by the technology.  The position entails the creation of detailed test plans, test cases, test scripts and their corresponding test procedures, to verify and validate the stability of the complete product.
We are looking for individuals who have an eye for detail and are quick learners.
Responsibilities:

• Research, formulate and define testing strategy, methodologies, and approach
  
  
• Design, implement and execute test cases and scripts
• Analyze resulting product behavior and output to determine accuracy and correctness
• Document and communicate all errors or concerns in a timely manner
• Communicate with Software Engineers and Global Data Management team to resolve engine's functionality questions and concerns

Required Skills and Experience:

• Working Experience with C++ and SQL programming
• Familiar with C++ unit test and code coverage tool
• Ability to develop test plans, test cases, test scripts and test procedures
• Knowledge of UNIX operating systems will be a plus
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, and an attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in the English language
