Core Responsibilities:

·         Optimize/Implement SRS Labs audio/voice IPs on various embedded targets found in consumer electronic products, such as ARM, MIPS, DSPs, etc.

·         Design APIs and test IPs on various embedded platforms

·         Carry out and manage each step in the software life-cycle–requirements analysis, design, coding, testing

·         Create professional documentation for software developed

·         Engage in research and development of innovative and high quality audio and voice software products

·         Master work related technology (i.e., in the area of psychoacoustic, digital audio signal processing, advance digital signal processing etc.)

·         Effectively communicate with counterparts in SRS other locations

·         Provide prompt customer support whenever Marketing or Sales department request

·         Ability to travel and work in non-regular working hour (i.e., international conference call)

·         Maintain clean working environment

 

Requirements:

·         BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent

·         2 years software development experience, with assembly language experience on at least one type of embedded target

·         Passion for audio and music

·         Intensive and diversified knowledge of software engineering principles

·         Deep understanding of DSP

·         Strong background in building, testing, and debugging software

·         Knowledge of electronic hardware, digital and analog circuit

·         PC software development experience, such as Visual

·         Quick learner, self motivated, and willingness to take challenges

·         Strong sense of initiative and ability to work autonomously

·         Sufficient English communication skill

·         Develop commonly used voice algorithms, such as acoustic echo cancellation, multichannel noise reduction, formant enhancement, time expander/compressor, and speech recognition

 SRS Labs is looking for a technical writer, for whom English is a native language, to assist in writing, proofreading, and editing technical documents.  This person will work closely with engineers to produce the documents, so rudimentary engineering knowledge is a requirement for the position.  Must be well-versed in Microsoft Word.  Familiarity with audio concepts, Microsoft Visio, and Adobe Acrobat a plus. 

Note: Please include an original writing sample with your resume as a demonstration of your English writing skills. The writing sample should contain 300-500 words. We prefer writing samples related to technology. However, we also accept writing samples related to other topics.
