Position

Editor / Associate Editor responsible for publications in Applied Mathematics

Location

Springer Asia Limited, Beijing Representative Office

Zhongguancun,Haidian District,Beijing

Reporting Line

Reports to Editorial Director, China

Responsibilities: 

1.    To build up the author/editor/reviewer network among Chinese scientific community

2.    Keep abreast of latest development in responsible subject area and focus on emerging topics as well as the interdisciplinary researches.

3.    To plan, acquire and manage Editorial Projects (include journals, books and other electronic products).

4.    Responsible for the quality of Editorial Projects, including metadata, content, language, layout, etc.

Requirements:

1.    Master degree or above in relevant subject area is a must.

2.    Previous working experience in international STM publishing industry is desired.

3.    Experience of living / working in a foreign country outside China will be helpful

4.    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

5.    Presentable and fluent in both written and spoken English.

6.    Strong organizational skill, detail oriented and capable to handle multiple tasks.

7.    Highly motivated with a sense of self-discipline

8.    Proven mastery of Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
