Globalization Services (GS) -SAP Language Services Intern

Globalization Services (GS) -SAP Language Services (SLS) is responsible for translating all
SAP products worldwide. SLS outsource the majority of its translation work to small and midsize
translation vendors. Internal SAP staff at SLS support this outsourcing strategy by supplying a
range of technical, planning, quality, monitoring and expert linguistic services.
Objectives:

• Learn how to process NPT (Non-Product Translation) requests from SAP subsidiaries in Asian languages;
  
  
• Coordinate NPT (Non-Product Translation) requests for Asian languages, excluding Japanese between local requesters and Global GCO Service Team, located in Vancouver - Canada;
• Technical spot-check on delivered translation;
• Work closely with colleagues from other regions (SLS Germany and SLS North America) to ensure smooth processing of NPT requests

Requirements
a) Willingness to learn;
b) Business level oral and written communication skills in English;
c) Presence of 3 days (minimum of 2 days) in office needed;
d) Strong customer centric attitude
e) Team work spirit
Other Desired Competences
a) Loves working in a highly motivated team;
b) Excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills;
c) Good understanding of the geopolitical, cultural and economic factors in the Asian region;
d) Knowledge of industry translation tools such as SDL Trados is a plus;
全球化服务 (GS) - SAP 语言服务 (SLS) 主要负责将 SAP 的产品翻译为各种语言。
SLS 将大部分的翻译项目外包给各家中小型翻译供应商，SLS 的内部人员则通过

.目标：

• 担当本地内部客户与全球 GCO 服务团队（位于加拿大温哥华）之间的协调员角色，负责处理亚洲语言的 NPT 需求，日文除外；
• 对翻译进行技术抽检，以确保质量；
• 与其他地区（SLS 德国及 SLS 北美温哥华）的同事紧密协作，确保 NPT 需求得以顺利处理

基本要求：
a) 勤奋好学；
b) 具备商务英语读写能力；
c) 每周需至少 3 天出勤；
d) 具备强烈的"以客户为中心"的意识；
e) 具有团队意识
期望的其他技能：
a) 乐于在一个具有高度积极性的团队中工作；
b) 具有出色的沟通能力以及分析问题和解决问题的技巧；
c) 充分了解地理、文化差异；
d) 具有行业翻译工具（如 SDL Trados）基本知识者优先；
