Job Title: SI (Signal Integrity) Intern

Job Description:
SI Intern Responsibilities:
IAG/DCSG/ISG/PED is looking for a signal integrity intern, who will be responsible for assisting SI engineers to perform pre/post layout SI simulation and review for ISG's top tier customers in China, exploiting SI expertise in the new and critical design innovations, and also, engaging in customers' issue debugging process.
Detailed Responsibilities for a SI Intern:
Proficiently run signal integrity analysis tools such as HSPICE, 2D/3D numerical tools and others, to perform high speed IO bus (QPI, PCIe, SATA, DDR...) signal quality evaluation.
Deep dive understand Intel signal integrity design/analysis methodology, interconnect specifications & compliance requirements and I/O circuit architecture, and support SI engineer to run simulation, analyze result and summarize report.
Assist SI engineer to debug critical customer issues, including board layout review, identify the critical signals, and run experimental debugging scenarios...etc.;
Qualifications
You should be good candidate for a master degree in Electrical Engineering now. Additional qualifications include:
Solid knowledge of transmission line theory, high speed interconnect design and signal integrity basics.
Previous experience with lab equipment such as digital oscilloscopes, VNAs, TDRs and other.
Ability to review PCB design schematic/layout files;
Basic knowledge on specifications of high speed interconnects (such as PCIe3.0, DDR4, JEDEC...etc.) & compliance requirements, I/O circuit architecture and electrical test features.
Willingness to work across disciplines and geographies to find solutions to I/O problems quickly and accurately.
Deep technical knowledge of Intel platform architecture and technologies is a plus.
