SDS Ventures, a merchant banking operation with offices in Beijing (CBD) and Shanghai, is offering an internship position in the Beijing office.

SDS Ventures is a merchant bank engaged in financial and strategic advisory services, with offices in Beijing and Shanghai. We serve institutional investors, Government organizations and companies seeking to explore or build cleantech and technology-related businesses in, from or related to China.
For investors and companies from Europe we deliver on-the-ground China fund related and investment management services as well as strategic, advisory and execution services primarily to cleantech and sustainability companies entering the Chinese market, often matching them to Chinese government and private sector stakeholders and investors.
For Chinese investors and companies that want to expand into Europe we select suitable local investment partners and customize the optimal local investment structure, taking into account favourable tax and legal infrastructure, logistic needs and protection of the investment.

[b]Job description:[/b]
• Perform financial analysis of relevant companies and industries
• Support internal decision-making and financial processes
• Support business development for specific clean tech company market introduction
• Monitor and report on relevant news in Chinese media
• Support the actualization and optimization of marketing material (ppt's, website)
• Translation of documentation and in meetings
• Occasionally support in daily office tasks e.g. reservations etc.

• Exposure to working with internationally leading partners in finance and sustainability
• Opportunity to learn and participate across all financial facets of a managing the growth-stage of technology companies (procedures, investor relations, market research)
• Internship is for at least 4 months. Alternative durations and combining the internship with writing a thesis can be discussed.
• Remuneration of 1500 RMB per month (based on full time)

• Native in Chinese
• Good command of English
• Interest in finance and sustainability
• Eager and able to learn quickly
• Flexible and able to work independently
