Greater Pacific Capital is currently looking for an analyst level intern to join our firm in Shanghai. The Shanghai team focuses on a broad range of sectors and has active portfolio companies in the technology and healthcare industries.

The proposed role of the intern covers the key tasks across the entire investment process and cycle, including taking the day-to-day responsibility on portfolio company strategic initiatives. Interns will be involved in market industry and company research, financial modeling, planning and managing buy and sell-side due diligence efforts (commercial, accounting, legal), working on business and investment deal financing, and working on portfolio company strategic BD projects. Interns will work with our global team of professionals and will have the opportunity to work on international investments, including US, Indian and cross-border portfolio companies.

Your main responsibilities will involve:

• Analyzing market sectors to identify potential opportunities for GPC and/or its portfolio companies.
• Reviewing and analysing management presentations and performance dashboard
• Developing direct relationships with management teams, directors and key intermediaries
• Contributing to key deal-and portfolio management related work streams including financial analysis and modeling, commercial analysis, and due diligence
• Evaluating potential investments and business opportunities and identifying and analyzing key areas of risks and opportunity
• Preparing portfolio company reviews and other internal reports
• Assisting portfolio companies prepare for exit and leading the day-to-day exit process

• Strong record of academic achievement
• Team player who is hard working and proactive
• Excellent commercial judgment
• Strong strategic, commercial, and financial analysis skills, including financial modelling and valuation and company/industry research skills
• High level of professionalism, maturity, superior attention to critical detail
• Ability and desire to manage multiple tasks and projects
• Ability to present complex ideas and information in simple persuasive form, written and orally; fluent in English
