Position: Regional Procurement Buyer 

 

Reporting to: Regional Procurement Director

 

Location: Xiamen

 

(Prefer Fresh Graduates who willing to base in Xiamen in the long run. It’s a full time employee position)

 

Job Responsibilities: 

 

1.     Responsible for regional indirect (sales, marketing related e.g. POCM, event and general services related e.g. service, lease, utility, fee, travel, IT, etc.) category sourcing, negotiation, contracting and supplier management.  

 

2.     Have an insight into innovation and new supplier development to deliver expected saving on the basis of total supply chain cost.

 

3.     Work closely with Sales, Trade Marketing, Marketing, Breweries, Finance, Zone Category Manager/Leader to deliver results based on business needs. 

 

4.     Manage supply to strength business relationship with the suppliers; 

 

5.     Maintain supplier database and make cost driver analysis; 

 

6.     Set up and renew cost model for cost analysis (understand supply and demand market, category supply market, cost structure, etc); 

 

7.     Implement e-auction strategy

 

Planning and Execution:

 

 

 

1.     Developing strategic and operational plans for the category, managing execution and measuring results with BSSC

 

2.     Develops strategies, schedules and work assignments to ensure projects meet time and budget goals

 

3.     Develops, maintains and analyzes supplier performance measurements.  

 

4.     Develops recommendations for reducing costs and improving quality.

 

5.     Plans and manages processes, standards and practices to ensure programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives.

 

6.     Prepares, communicates and educates client groups and team on changes in processes, policies and practices within the organization.

 

 

 

Business Requirements: 

 

 

 

1.     Collaborates with cross-functional team, e.g. trade marketing/marketing, breweries, Zone category manager/leader, sales, etc. to deliver procurement projects that bring consistent experience to internal clients.

 

2.     Communicates and trains partners in procurement guidelines and classifications.

 

3.     Implements and analyzes business opportunities when procurement synergies with the market business unit supplier base are found.

 

4.     Lead the development of supplier database in the region

 

5.     Works with local / regional suppliers to develop quality assurance and continuous improvement programs by sharing company standard operating procedures and Corporate Social Responsibility programs.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

 

 

1.     Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing (Good communication skill in both Chinese and English)

 

2.     Strong negotiation skills

 

3.     Ability to balance multiple priorities

 

4.     Ability to work independently and create and implement processes

 

5.     Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

 

6.     Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities

 

7.     Skillful in computer software: Excel, Words, MS Office, Website access & research etc

 

8.     Able to travel in mainland China

 

9.     Self-motivated, proactive, ownership mindset
