EMC Marketing & Communications Team seeks a well performed Communication Specialist to make things work.

What does Marketing & Communications Team do?  We connect and align employees to the EMC and China COE story, strategy and to each other, to create an informed and empowered community, making EMC a successful business and great place to work.

 

What do we need from you?

Primary Responsibilities:

The Communication Specialist will develop practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals.  In this role you will be responsible for work that is less defined in scope, utilize understanding and experience to execute business objectives, and will have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

• Support Marketing Communication initiatives and activities such as Engineering Culture, You Define, Women’s Leadership Forum, and EMC Gives Backs on time and within budget to engage employees and promote corporate culture, support business priorities.
• Lead core-message development to crystallize the value story of our programs and operations, to update company news timely both internally and externally by leveraging variety of communications channels like website, intranet, newsletter, social media, etc.

Manage the design, editing, and production of communications materials, including posters, banners, and newsletters, so as to support the communication objectives and maximize China COE’s positive exposure in the marketplace.

Manage China COE’s Weibo & WeChat accounts to increase brand awareness among target audience groups while supporting business objectives. This is done in close cooperation with all divisions.

 

Qualifications and factors for success:

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, English, or a related field
• Proficient in design and video-editing software, experience as a journalist or editor would be a plus
• Outstanding communication and language skills  in both English and Chinese, written and oral
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to  work effectively with people at all levels of the organization, especially with high-level leadership team
• Enthusiastic with good business acumen
• A quick learner and good team player
• Able to define own objectives, and possess strong process management skills

Able to work effectively in a matrix, fast-paced, multi-cultural environment, ability to multi-task, work under pressure
