OMLP EID
The OMLP EID Program is designed to identify high-potential engineering students early in their academic career as possible candidates for OMLP entry programs. The EID Program offers students the opportunity to experience a real-life work environment at GE, while developing the professionalism critical to a successful career.
Every OMLP EID assignment offers:
· Challenging work assignments of 8-12 weeks
· Formal goal-setting, mid-term and final appraisal processes
· Multiple resources for each student: manager, mentor, buddy, EID Program manager
· Networking and social activities
· Rewards and recognition
Qualifications:
1. Passion/commitment for making stuff /supply chain /plant
2. Engineering /SC education with bachelor or above, GPA 30%
3. Strong communication and problem solving skill
4. Strong Analytical & Process Skills
5. Self-Directed…drive for life-long learning
6. Able to Rapidly Acclimate & Deliver. Steep Learning Curve
7. Team player
8. Strong oral and written communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications:

OMLP Program Introduction:
OMLP accelerates development of entry-level talent and produces leaders capable of meeting the challenges facing the Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Environment, Health & Safety functions at GE. OMLP is a 2 year program consisting of 3 rotations that allow members to build leadership and functional skills through challenging rotational assignments and world-class training. Through these job assignments & training, program members are involved in GE's strategic initiatives-including GE's drive for LEAN Six Sigma.
OMLP Key responsibilities include:
OMLP members have the opportunity to experience the entire supply chain, state of-the-art methods of manufacturing/operations, and sourcing practices through structured course work and practical application. Coursework includes: Project Management, Negotiation Skills, Finance Essentials, Environmental Health and Safety, Supply Chain Management, and LEAN Manufacturing Operations. Members are also certified in Six Sigma. GE's focus on process integration, from design through manufacturing to sales, has been critical to meeting our customers' expectations. OMLP is designed to successfully integrate manufacturing with other key processes in GE. Possible job rotations may include:
· Leading a manufacturing team in the production of products;
· Improving efficiency of supply chain management through LEAN/cost reduction;
· Supervising suppliers to hone product quality and negotiate price.
This combined experience positions OMLP members for accelerated career growth.

ITLP EID Summer Intern
Role Summary/Purpose:
• Key pipeline for fulltime ITLP
• An eight to ten-week long challenging assignment in IT domain
• Gain hands-on experience while working on challenging projects via one of our ITLP Internships. Our internships are designed to give you an exciting look into what working at GE is like.
ITLP is the entry point to career at GE for CS/MIS major students. This program aims to develop and nurture future GE IT leaders. In the 2 years program with four rotations, ITLP members are expected to complete 4 missions as a real business’s project owner in 6 months each. Meanwhile members are supposed to complete training courses, which consists of not only technical but also business leadership
Qualifications Required:
• Graduate at 2016
• Minimum overall 3.0 GPA (out of 4.0)
• Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or Business (with IT-related minor or IT relevant coursework)
• Internship or other relevant work experience in IT-related disciplines
• Leadership experience inside and/or outside the classroom
• Fluent (Business level) English ability in both speech and writing
• Passion for IT and strong technical skills
• Fast learner with great adaptability and strong analytical skill
