About SCUPI:
Computer and Information Technology (IT) Administrator
This is a technical position that to be filled by an individual who will play an integral role in providing computer and IT related services for SCUPI. The individual will also serve as the IT point contact or representative of SCUPI to interact with various entities within
General responsibilities:
· Develops strategic plans in development and realization of IT related systems for SCUPI students and employees
· Develops various IT systems based on needs in teaching, research and administration of SCUPI
· Provides and coordinate the maintenance effort for computer hardware and software systems in SCUPI
· Develops and maintains SCUPI website
· Provides computer and IT related technical support and consulting to students and employees
· Other tasks as needed, which might not be explicitly stated above but are related to the strategic developments of the Institute.
Professional Knowledge and Qualifications:
· Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems or a related discipline
· Minimum one year full-time professional experience in an IT related field
· Knowledge and experience in Adobe, JavaScript, web graphics creation, multimedia production, and manipulation web conferencing tools
· Reasonable programming experience and capabilities
· Knowledge and/or experience in engineering application software, e.g. ANSYS, SolidWorks, would be a plus but not essential
General Abilities:
· Reasonable command in English speaking and writing
· Good interpersonal and teaming skills with faculty, staff and students in an academic setting
· Multi-tasking capabilities and be sensitive to priorities
