JOB TITLE: Application Scientist, Biopharma and Proteomics
1. PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION
A highly motivated application chemist with training in mass spectrometry based protein chemistry to support our pre- and post-sales and marketing efforts for Life Science mass spectrometry
2. RESPONSIBILITIES & MAIN TASKS
Responsibilities & Main Tasks
? Perform mass spectrometry demonstration analysis in support of sales life science and biopharm industry
? Interpret experimental results and make presentation to customers to support the sales force
? Work with sales closely to perform joint pre-sales prospect visits to introduce Bruker instrument and solutions
? Provide post-sales support such as training class (both on-site and classroom) and troubleshooting methods.
? Participate seminar and conference events by making oral and poster presentation to support our sales and marketing organization?
? Publish application notes in support of local and global marketing effort.
3. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
Minimum Qualification
? PhD in Chemistry or Biochemistry in the field of proteomics
? Hands-on lab experience (at least 3 years including PhD studies) in proteomics research is required; experience in Bruker LC-MS platform is a plus
? Strong knowledge in proteomics and LC-MS (including the nano-LC) and troubleshooting skills
? Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Chinese
? Highly motivated self-starter with pleasant personality
